NELLIE COMP Died Thursday

Mrs. Nellie Comp of Winterset died last Thursday, May 20, 1971, at Madison Manor in Winterset. She was 90 years of age.

Mrs. Comp had been a resident of Madison county the last 60 years. She was the former Nellie A. Rehard, daughter of Leonard and Margaret Fenton Rehard, and was born Jan. 24, 1881, at Butler, Mo.

She was married at Humeston, in Wayne county, on March 2, 1902, to Ira D. Comp. His death occurred in 1947.

Mrs. Comp was a member of the Methodist church, and of the Woman's society of Christian Service of that church. She was aso a member of the W.C.T.U., and the Qui Vive club.

She is survived by a son, Joseph L. Comp of Indianola; three daughters, Mrs. Savilla Eddy of Mt. Ayr, Mrs. Mary A. Frey of Winterset, and Mrs. Leona M. Jones of Prole; nine grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, and by her seven brothers. She was the last surviving member of a family of eight children.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First United Methodist church of Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Newton Coughenour. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
