SAMUEL H. ALLEN OF WINTERSET DIES

Life-Long Resident of This County, Was 71 Years of Age

Samuel H. Allen died at his home in Winterset Sunday at the age of 71 years. He had been in ill health for some time, and his condition had been critical for two weeks preceding his death.

Mr. Allen had spent his entire life in Madison county. He was born Nov. 8, 1874, the son of Jessie and Roda [Rhoda] Allen.

He had been a member of the Winterset Church of Christ since 1928.

Surviving are a half brother, James M. Allen of Winterset; and two half sisters, Mrs. Flora Clark of Winterset, and Mrs. Myrtle Ferree of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Winterset Church of Christ, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the King cemetery near Peru.
