CHARLES EMERY DIES AT HOME OF SISTER

Union Township Farmer Was Enroute Home From Rochester

Charles Emery, a long-time resident of Union county, died here at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dell Davis, on April 27, after having been fatally stricken enroute home from the Mayo clinic in Rochester, Minn. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Emery was born in Union county March 18, 1869, living there until about 12 years ago, when he moved to Excelsior Springs, Mo., for his health. In the past year he had spent much time at Rochester, Minn., and at the home of his brother, in Scott's Bluff, Nebr.

He is survived by three brothers, Frank Emery of Thayer, Joe Emery of Los Angeles, and Henry Emery of Cody, Wyo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Kimbrell of Scott's Bluff, Nebr., Mrs. Emma Comry of LaPorte, Wisc., and Mrs. Millie Davis of near Winterset.

Funeral services were held April 29 from the Watts Funeral home in Lorimor.
