MORTUARY

Mrs. Catherine Bean

St. Charles Special, April 27

Mrs. Catherine Bean passed away April 18th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Picken where she had been cared for during her illness of more than four months. She was past 79 years of age and had been a resident of St. Charles for many years. She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Mrs. Gertrude Cason of Ness City, Kansas; Mrs. Jennie Williams of Des Moines; William of Harvey; Vernon, of Peru; Glen of Melcher; Mrs. Louie Picken of this place and Dudney of Chicago, all of whom were with her through her sickness excepting the latter. Another daughter, Mrs. Nellie Horton, preceded her in death a number of years ago. Several grandchildren, and other relatives and a host of friends will also miss her. Her funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon and she was laid to rest beside her husband who passed away many years ago.
