Thursday, April 28, 1932DEATH OF THELMA HOLMES
Funeral services were held at the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock for Thelma Holmes, thirteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holmes of Hensler, North Dakota. The little girl became ill with pneumonia, and was taken to the hospital at Bismarck; there she died, Friday, April 22nd.
Her parents formerly lived in this county, her mother being the former Lulu Mills, and for that reason the child was brought here for burial in the Winterset cemetery. The Rev. W. C. Porter conducted her funeral service.
The child was born April 5, 1919 and spent all of her life in North Dakota. She was baptized in the Methodist church at Hensler, and was a faithful attendant at Sunday school. Besides her parents, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Jack Clark of Stanton, North Dakota, and a number of distant relatives in this county.
The pallbearers at Wednesday's services were Ralph Mills, Cloyd Mills, Harry Black, Cliff Martin, Rex Martin, E. Y. Pearson. Mrs. J. F. Veltman and Mrs. W. C. Porter sang her favorite hymns at the services.
