James Glenn ‘Jim’ Baker, 81, of Mineral Wells, Texas, died Nov. 28, 1995 at a local hospital near his home. Funeral services were Nov. 30 at the B-C-B Chapel. The Rev. R. B. Shiflet, assisted by the Rev. Judson R. Lively officiated the services and burial was at the Woodland Park Cemetery in Texas.

He was born Jan. 22, 1914 in Paola, Kansas to Newton and Cora (Muir) Baker. He married Kate Burgan on Oct. 30, 1936 in Decatur, Ind. He was a machinist in the helicopter maintenance for 35 years. He had served in the U.S. navy. He was a member of the Eleventh Avenue Church and the Mineral Wells Masonic Lodge 611.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one daughter, Coralee Beasley of Mineral Wells; one brother, Walter Baker of Oakland, Calif.; one sister Jessie White of Winterset; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
