FRED MOORE DIES IN NEW ORLEANS

Death Occurred Wednesday On Vacation Trip to Louisiana

Fred O. Moore, well known retired farmer of the Earlham community, died last Wednesday, Jan. 25, at a hospital in New Orleans, La. Mr. Moore had accompanied his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Eben Hays of Winterset, on a vacation trip to New Orleans. He became ill while there and was taken to the hospital where his death occurred.

Mr. Moore was 60 years of age, and was a life-long resident of Madison county. A son of Asa and Isabell McQuie Moore, his active life was spent in farming south of Earlham. He had been retired in recent years.

He was a member of the Early Chapel church.

His wife, the former Virgie Prohaska of Earlham, preceded him in death three years ago.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. William Trout of Sinclair, Wyo., two grandsons; a brother, Bruce Moore of Earlham; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Hays of Winterset and Mrs. Clara Mapes of Earlham.

Funeral services were held Sunday from Early Chapel with burial in the Penn Center cemetery.
