Elbe (Jim) Berry, 80, of Des Moines, died February 7, 1994 of a heart ailment at the Des Moines Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services were held February 11, 1994 at Capitol Hill Christian Church with burial at the Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines.

He was born in Union County living for a period of time in Winterset. He was employed 24 years at Pioneer Poultry Division where he was a member of the Twenty Year Member Club. He was a member of the Capitol Hill Christian Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Dorothy I. Berry of Des Moines; one daughter, Patricia Lomax of Des Moines; one sister, Maxine Groesbeck of Lorimor; one brother, Elton Berry of Lake Milac, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
