MORTUARY

IDA LEONE BOYD

Ida Leone Boyd, daughter of Claude and Myrtle Boyd was born August 31, 1902, near Winterset, Iowa, and died after a lingering illness at the home of her mother here.

She received her education in the schools here and near Stuart, in which places she lived all her life with the exception of three and one-half years at Oakdale, where she went for treatment in the hope of effecting a permanent cure from the disease which was the cause of her death.

At the age of sixteen, Ida accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, uniting with the Baptist church of this place, and has since that time been a faithful member and a loyal follower of her Lord. This has been evidenced by her Christian patience and the fortitude she displayed during her long illness. For her we feel that we can honestly say that she has been awarded a glorious entrance into the presence of the Lord whom she loved and served so well despite the limitations of her lot.

In addition to her church, she was a member of the Rebecca Lodge, to which organization she was much attached and which she loved.

She leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Boyd, three brothers, Raymond L., Loren, and Claire, two sisters, Mrs. Leo Dunn and Mrs. Lola Vernon, three nieces and two nephews, and a host of loving friends.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. H. L. Olmstead and Rev. John T. Hall officiated. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
