Beulah V. McNamara, a native of Pottawattamie County, died Saturday, December 31, 1977, at Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Ira V. and Ella Mae Fleming Painter, born March 17, 1896.
Mrs. McNamara was a resident of this county since 1913, except time during World War II when she was a resident of California and Colorado. She was retired from duty as a supply clerk at the Air Force finance center in Denver, Colorado.
Mrs. McNamara was a member of the Madison County Antique Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society.
Survivors include three sons, Robert L. McNamara of Chanute, Kansas, Martin P. Jr. of Blackwell, Okla., Ralph G. McNamara of Brea, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Blanche Jones of Iowa City, Mrs. Genevieve Carter of Indianola; two brothers, Vern Painter of Grand Island, Nebr., and Ira Jr. Painter of Southerland, Nebr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Phil Painter of Grand Island, Nebr. and Dayton Painter of Winterset.
Funeral services for Beulah V. McNamara were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, from Collins Funeral Home. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery. Father Gene Cunningham officiated.
