Frank Mahan, a well-known farmer of this community, died at his home near Winterset Saturday, April 12, 1952, after an extended period of failing health. He was 64 years of age.
Mr. Mahan was born near Norwalk on Sept. 9, 1887. His entire life was spent near Norwalk and Winterset. He was an active member of the Church of Christ here.
He was married Feb. 7, 1909 to Zetta Simpson of Patterson, who survives him. He also leaves a son, John Mahan of Winterset: two grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Clyde Lewiston of Woodward; and a brother, Lester Mahan of St. Charles.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Winterset Church of Christ, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Sherman Hanson and the Rev. Elmer McVety, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
