Wednesday, February 9, 1983Agnes V. Moore, Booneville
Services for Agnes V. Moore, 72, of rural Booneville who died Feb. 4 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Monday Feb. 7 at the St. Patrick's Irish Settlement. with the Rev. John Richter officiating. A rosary was held at the Collins Funeral Home Sunday night. Burial was at the Irish Settlement.
Born in Madison County April 15, 1910, she was the daughter of John Chesterfield and Ella Glynn Monaghan. She attended college at Simpson and Drake University and was a member of the St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society.
On May 14, 1940 she married Raymond Moore. She was a homemaker and taught school for 10 years in northeast Madison County.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Vernon Moore of Booneville, and Dr. Howard Moore of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, John Monaghan of Des Moines; and sisters, Catherine Morris and Rose Walker, both of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
