Annie Quiring, Winterset

Annie Quiring, 83, of Winterset died Feb. 11, 2001, of a heart attack at North Memorial Health Care in Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset with her grandson, Geoffery Safford Sr., officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30-8p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset where the family will be present from 6:30-8 p.m. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Annie Quiring was born Nov. 24, 1917, to John and Elizabeth (Heibert) Ratzloff of Mountain Lake, Minn. She married Peter C. Quiring on June 7, 1938, in Mountain Lake. A resident of Winterset since 1994, she had previously resided in Stanzel (where her husband had been pastor at the Bethel Baptist Church) since 1973. Annie was a member of the Friedensburg Mennonite Church in Avon, S. D. and was an associate member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Stanzel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Safford (husband John) of Winterset; a sister, Elizabeth Lohrenz (husband Paul) of Mountain Lake, Minn.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
