Mona Lenore Quinn, 92, of Fayette, died May 21, 1996 at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette. A funeral mass was held May 27 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church in Fayette. The Rev. Dale Rausch officiated the services and burial was at St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery in Fayette.

She was born July 25, 1903 in Peru to George and Lulu (Stevens) Bolin. She attended Parsons College in Fairfield where she received a teacher’s certificate. She taught school for several years. She married LeRoy A. Quinn in St. Michael’s Catholic Church at Belle Plaine on May 30, 1927. She had been a Camp Fire Girls’ leader and a P.T. A. officer. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include one son, Robert Quinn and wife Ann of Brookhaven, N.Y.; one daughter, Jean Martin and husband, A. W. of Fayette; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several cousins in the Winterset area.

Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette.
