ROBERT W. CUTSHALL, Van Meter

Robert W. Cutshall, 69, of Van Meter died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Visitation will be held from 1–8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home, where the family will be present to receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Madison County. Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Robert was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Perrie and Ida (Chase) Cutshall. His marriage to Judy Bice took place on Sept. 6, 1958, in Urbandale.

Robert owned Tri-Mor Sales, a farm implement business, and later retired as a partner with Commodity Services, Inc., in Urbandale as a broker. He was a 4-H leader for Jefferson-Lee Township. Robert enjoyed his grandchildren and loved them dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Van Meter; a son, Bob Cutshall (Cathy) of Osceola; a daughter, Victoria Gordy (Roger) of Naples, Fla.; a niece, Brenda McConahay of Des Moines; and four grandchildren, Cliff and Nicholas Gordy and Sarah and John Cutshall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Crow.
