Everett H. Quick, a native of Madison County, died Tuesday, September 11, 1973 in Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 78 years of age.
Mr. Quick, a retired farmer and apple orchard owner, was born May 25, 1895 near Patterson, the son of Jasper and Maragret McMichael Quick. He was married February 14, 1915 to Flora Potter in Winterset.
Mr. Quick was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Patterson.
Surviving Mr. Quick is a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Mina) Speer of Prole; three grandchildren, Wayne Speer of Patterson, Mrs. Joyce Koehler of Indianola and Mrs. Marilyn Tibben of Truro; and four great grandchildren.
A nephew, Newell Clevenger of Tampa, Florida, was raised in the Quick home.
Mr. Quick was preceded in death by his wife in 1967, his parents, a sister, Mrs. Ethel Clevenger and an infant daughter, Helen.
Funeral services from Collins Funeral Home were conducted Friday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at the Mt. Pelier [Montpelier] Cemetery.
Rev. W. Eldon Ringle officiated.

Everett Quick died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital this Tuesday morning where he had been taken Monday. He was 78 years of age.
Services will be held from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset Friday morning at 10:30.
