Helen Marie Butterfield Henning, 85, of LaGrange, Ga., died Oct. 20, 2006, at Hospice LaGrange.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Oct. 25) at the Lorimor United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Helen Henning was born May 20, 1921, in Lorimor to Elmer Ellsworth and Ina (Claytor) Kirkhart. She was Methodist by faith and was preceded in death by her husbands, Irwin Usher Butterfield and Lawrence E. Henning.

She is survived by one son, Craig Irwin Butterfield of Urbandale; two daughters, Pamela Marie Zajicek of Wellston, Ohio, and Jorine Ann Silcox of LaGrange, Ga.; stepchildren, Karine Luetgert of Geneva, Ill., and L. Henning of Greenville, S.C.; four sisters, Beverly Dix of Wyoming, Catherine Buck of Minnesota, Martina Weeter of Arizona and Dixie Metcalf of Nebraska; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
