Maurine Quarles, Joplin, Mo.

Maurine ‘Mandy’ Jones Quarles, 67, of Joplin, Mo., died May 14, 1994 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Funeral services were May 17, 1994 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar with burial at the Lorimor Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 22, 1926 in Lorimor to Tom and Beatrice (Tilton) Edwards. She married Keith ‘Casey’ Jones on July 13, 1946. After his death, she married Bobby Lee Quarles on Feb., 23, 1990 in Miami, Okla. While attending school at Lorimor High, she was an apprentice at the Lorimor Newspaper.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; and one son.

Surviving relatives include her husband; three sons; one daughter, Sherry Ellis of Winterset; one stepson; three stepdaughters; one brother, John Edwards of Lorimor; three sisters; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
