LeRoy William Monroe Jr., Chicago, Ill.

Services for LeRoy William Monroe Jr., who died June 30 in Chicago, Ill., were held Friday, July 6 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial was at the U.B. Jefferson Cemetery with full military services.

Born Sept. 21, 1953 in Pueblo, Colo., he was the son of LeRoy William and Constance Severns Monroe. He was a veteran of the Army and a past member of the American Legion. He had lived most of his life in the Chicago area and on Oct. 22, 1982, was married to JoAnn Duffy in Cook County, Ill. Mr. Monroe was employed with the Mrs. Grass Soup Co.

Survivors include his wife of North Riverside, Ill.; his mother of Winterset; a stepson, Michael Partridge and a stepdaughter, Marianne, both at home; sisters, Coleen Monroe of Chicago, Cindy Lee Lszack of Hinsdale, Ill., and Cathleen Monroe of Milwaukee, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and a sister.
