FRED HUGLIN SERVICES HELD

Funeral services were held in St. Charles Monday for Fred W. Huglin of Truro, who died at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset last Friday, September 27. He was 82 years of age.

Fred William Huglin was born near St. Charles on June 12, 1892, the son of Charles and Sophia Schmidt Huglin. He was educated in Madison County schools.

Mr. Huglin was married to Mabel Simpson at St. Charles on March 9, 1913. He was a farmer and lived his entire life in Madison county.

He was affiliated with the St. Charles Methodist Church.

Mr. Huglin is survived by his wife, Mabel; and by a son, Dale Huglin of St. Charles. Also surviving are two sisters; Dolly Brown of Winterset and Daisy Conway of Whittier, California; and four brothers: August "Sam" Hughlin of Winterset; Carl Huglin of Whittier, California; Andrew Huglin of Winchester, Virginia; and Henry Huglin of Omaha. In addition, he is survived by one grandson.

Mr. Huglin was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30 at the United Methodist Church in St. Charles, with the Rev. Eldon Ringle presiding. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
