BENNINGTON RITES HELD THURSDAY

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro for Walter Bennington, whose death had occurred Oct. 18 at his home in St. Charles.

The Rev. Richard Hempenius conducted the services. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mr. Bennington was born at Tracey on Dec. 20, 1897, a son of William and Lora Cobb Bennington. He was 72 years of age at his death.

Practically all his life was spent in the St. Charles community, where he engaged in farming.

He never married. Surviving relatives include four sisters, Olga Bennington of Winterset, Mrs. Lister Dickson of Cedarville, Ark., Wilma Bennington of St. Charles, and Mrs. Cecil Phillips of Peru; and a brother, Donald Bennington of Terril.
