Mrs. Margaret M. Brown of Osceola, whose death had occurred there Oct. 17, was buried in Moon cemetery at Macksburg last Wednesday. The Rev. George V. Neal officiated at the funeral services at Osceola that day. They were held in the Webster-Kale Funeral home.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Monmouth, Ill., where she was born December 27, 1892, a daughter of Dave and Clara Campbell. Her early life was spent in Illinois. She was married in 1908 to Roy Simpson, who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Ira Brown. He also preceded her in death.
She lived in Madison and Clarke counties before moving into Osceola in 1942.
She leaves five sons, Dale Simpson of Macksburg, Charles and Elmer Brown of Osceola, Raymond Brown of Macksburg and Jesse Brown of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Clara Lewis of Hudson, S. Dak., a sister, Mrs. Lena Laughlin of Creston; and four brothers, Clyde Campbell of Thayer, Lennie Campbell of Jamestown, N. Dak., Carl Campbell of Des Moines and Glen Campbell of Macksburg.

Funeral services for Margaret Marie Brown were held Wednesday, October 20, from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. She died in the Clarke County Hospital Sunday, October 17.
Margaret Marie Brown was born in Monmouth, Illinois, on December 27, 1892, the daughter of Dave and Clara Romine Campbell. She was educated in Illinois schools and was a housewife in Osceola Since 1942. Prior to that time she lived in Madison and Clarke Counties. She was united in marriage to Roy Simpson in May, 1908. One child was born to this union. She was united in marriage to Ira Brown on April 13, 1913. Nine children were born to this union.
Surviving relatives include: son, Dale Simpson and wife, Bulah of Macksburg, Iowa; son, Charles Brown and wife Viola of Osceola; son, Elmer Brown and wife, Grace of Osceola; son, Raymond and wife, Donna of Macksburg; son, Jesse Brown and wife, Betty of Portland; daughter, Clara Lewis and husband, Vern of Hudson, South Dakota; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; sister, Lennie Campbell of Jamestown, North Dakota; four brothers, Clyde Campbell of Thayer; Lennie Campbell of Jamestown, North Dakota; Carl Campbell of Des Moines; and Glenn Campbell of Macksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; children Robert, Mabel Marie, Ira Cline and one in infancy.
The 1:30 p.m. services were conducted by the Rev. George V. Neal with burial in Moon Cemetery, Macksburg, Iowa.
