RUSSELL STALEY, Winterset

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 8, at Collins Funeral Home for Russell Wayne Staley of rural Winterset, who died in an accident at E. I. Sargent Quarries near Winterset on Jan. 5, 1982. He was 41 years old.

Born in Griswold, Ia. on April 25, 1940, he was the son of Wayne and Ila Golay Staley.

Mr. Staley was a resident of this area for the past 27 years and was last employed as a truck driver for Sargent Quarries, where he had worked for 17 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother, Robert. Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Ellen Staley of Patterson, and two brothers, John Staley of Winterset and Jim Staley of Minneapolis.

Rev. Phil Hall officiated at the funeral. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
