HANRAHAN RITES THIS WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for James E. Hanrahan, a long-time resident of the Cumming community, were held this Wednesday morning, Dec. 29, from St. John's Catholic church in Cumming.

Mr. Hanrahan died Dec. 26 at Collins Memorial hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. He was 76 years of age.

A son of James A. and Mary McNerney Hanrahan, he was born at Cumming on Aug. 7, 1895. He was married to Mary E. King on Jan. 22, 1924 at St. John's church. She preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 1953.

Mr. Hanrahan was a hardware and implement dealer at Cumming for a number of years.

He is survived by one son, Larry of Cumming, with whom he made his home; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Stanley of Booneville; three grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Hanrahan of Des Moines, and Martin and Tommy Hanrahan of Cumming; two sisters, Mrs. A. F. King of Des Moines and Mrs. F. M. Egan of San Lorenzo, California.

Officiating at the funeral service Wednesday morning was the Rev. John Ryan of Cumming. Rosary for Mr. Hanrahan was recited Tuesday evening, Dec. 28, at St. John's Hall in Cumming.

Burial was at St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township.
