Clyde Anderson Minard, 86, a retired farmer whose life was spent in Madison County near the Truro community, died Wednesday, February 16, 1977, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
The son of John Winklepluck Minard and Lucy Anderson Stone Minard, Clyde Minard was born June 6, 1890, in Madison County. He attended local schools and on March 15, 1922, was married to Mabel McClure in Warren County. The couple had one child.
Mr. Minard was a member of the St. Charles Lions Club and was affiliated with the Ohio Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel of Truro; a son, John of Truro and a brother, Ralph Minard of New Virginia. Mr. Minard was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Fabruary 19, at 1:30 p.m. from Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Rev. David Streyffler of Waverly, Iowa and pastor Jim Patrick of Indianola officiating. Burial was made at the St. Charles Cemetery.
