Lennie M. Mills, Winterset

Memorial services for Lennie M. Mills, 88, were held Sat., August 29, 1992 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Mrs. Mills died August 27 at Winterset Care Center South.

She was born on April 11, 1904 in Earlham to George and Laura (Cook) Kingery. She married Cloyde R. Mills on June 1, 1924, in Earlham. She lived in Ottumwa for four years and in Santa Monica, Calif. for 16 years, but spent most of her life in Madison County. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Women's Fellowship, Crown Rebekah Lodge and the First Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and a brother.

Surviving relatives are three daughters, Betty Jane Culp of Parker, Ariz., Arlene Cline and Marcella Rhoads, both of Winterset; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her ashes were interred to Woodland Cemetery in Santa Monica, Calif. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Central Iowa.
