Funeral Services Set for This Wednesday at Richards
George W. Miller, retired farmer who had lived Winterset since 1954, died Sunday, June 19 at a Des Moines hospital. He was 85 years of age.
Mr. Miller had lived in Madison county 15 years. He was a native of Van Buren county, where he was born July 20, 1874, a son of Alvin and Elizabeth Morrow Miller.
He was married at Selma, Ia., in 1898 to Dora Gardner, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Ruth Rogers of Winterset, and a son, Paul Miller of Glendale, Ariz. He also leaves three grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Miller of Beloit, Wisc., and Ed Miller of Rock Island, Ill.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday from Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
