BLANCHE STEPHENSON, Winterset

Services for Blanche E. Stephenson, 99, Winterset, who died Nov. 9, 1988, at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Peru United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ann Louise Weisenfluh officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Born in Panora on July 12, 1889, she was the daughter of Edwin and Ida Rhodes Jennings. On April 20, 1919, she was married to John E. Stephenson at Panora.

Mrs. Stephenson lived in Madison County since 1920, coming from Panora. She was a member of the Peru United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Glen and wife Betty of Peru; daughters, Mrs. Everett (Mary) Agan of Peru, and Mrs. Forrest (Dorothy) Henrichs of Thayer; 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant daughter, a son, and three sisters.
