BESSIE STEPHENSON, Missouri Rites

Bessie Lowe Hamack Stephenson of Leon, Iowa, formerly of Winterset, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1980, in Leon at the age of 82. She had lived in Winterset for 23 years, moving to Leon about a month ago.

Born on March 14, 1898, in Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ellis Hamack who preceded her in death. She was remarried on June 1, 1957, in Bethany, Mo., to Elmer Stephenson, and they made their home in Winterset. He died on Aug. 28, 1980.

Surviving are a son, Everett Lee Hamack of Ridgeway, Mo.; four grandchildren; and a brother who lives in Missouri. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a brother and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 29, in Ridgeway, Mo., with burial there.
