EDWARD STEELE, Roswell, Georgia

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, 1982, at Roswell Methodist Church in Roswell, Georgia for Edward L. Steele, a former Madison county resident. He was 87 years old.

Born in Grand River township on Nov. 27, 1894, he was the son of John and Kate Cochran Steele.

He was a graduate of Macksburg High School and attended Iowa State University. He was a veteran, Serving in World War I.

In February of 1920 he married Marion Schaeffer, who survives him.

Also surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Day of Hayward, Calif., Polly Cordell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Patricia Steele of Roswell; a son, Jay Steele of Roswell; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several cousins residing in Madison county.

Burial was at Roswell Cemetery.
