ARLOENE STEELE, Creston

Services for Arloene Steele, 90, Creston, who died March 21, 1987, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Tuesday, March 24, at the United Methodist Church in Creston with Dr. M. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery.

Born Sept. 17, 1896 at Alton, Iowa, she was the daughter of S. L. and Flora Herren Shell. She attended schools in Macksburg but moved to Colorado and graduated from high school there. Later she returned to Macksburg and after her marriage to Jay W. Steele in 1918, the couple farmed in Grand River township in Madison County until they moved to Creston in 1957.

Mrs. Steele was a member of the United Methodist Church at Creston and the Woman's Relief Corps at Macksburg.
