Services for Eugene Meyer, 45, who died of an apparent heart attack, Monday, Dec. 8 were held Dec. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church at Panama City, Fla., where he resided. Burial was at Panama City.
Born in Winterset and a 1960 graduate of Winterset High School, Mr. Meyer was a graduate of Drake University. He earned a master of science degree in physics from Arizona State University in 1967.
He was employed with the Naval Coastal Systems at Panama City for 21 years, holding the position of supervisory physicist.
Mr. Meyer was married to the former Kathryn Wyatt of Winterset on June 7, 1963.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Mrs. Sheri Meyer McRae of Somers, Conn., and Suzan Denise Meyer of Panama City; a son-in-law, Pfc. Timothy Ross McRae; half sisters, Mrs. Avis Duehring and Mrs. Eleanor Hubby; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Charlotte Meyer of Winterset.
