Page 2John Mathews Dies While At Pipeline Station
John E. Mathews, 58, of St. Charles, died Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Natural Gas Pipeline Station near Truro from an apparent heart attack. He was born February 26, 1919, at St.Charles, the son of Ralph and Elizabeth Downs Mathews.
Funeral services were scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1t 1:30 p.m. from St. Charles Christian Church, Rev. Rolland Towell of St. Charles officiating. Burial was made at the St. Charles cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, June Mathews of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty Ann) Hein of Avoca, Iowa and two grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Odel Mathews of St. Charles and three sisters, Mary Addy of Winterset; Juanita Kellogg of Encino, California and Ella Jean Fuson of Des Moines.
Mr. Mathews was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George and a granddaughter. He was a veteran of World War II.
