Thomas Burt McDonald Left Madison County in 1934
Thomas Burt McDonald, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died June 17 at Phoenix, Ariz., it was learned here this week. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. McDonald was born near Winterset on Dec. 3, 1876, the son of Cyprus Burt and Mary Ellen McDonald.
He was married to Fannie McGinnis on Oct. 4, 1899. Most of their lives were spent in this county, but they moved to Arizona in 1934.
Mr. McDonald had united with the United Presbyterian church as a young man, and was later a member of the United Brethren and Methodist churches.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Alvin, Ray and Wayne McDonald; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Naylor of Phoenix; one son, Lloyd, of Winterset; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Fletcher McDonald of Winterset, Joe McDonald of Huntingdon, Ore., and Harry McDonald of Stuart; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Reed of Summerfield, Kan., and Mrs. Elsie Alexander of and Mrs. Belle Tyer of Winterset.
Funeral services and burial were held at Phoenix, Ariz.

Thomas Burt McDonald, 66 years old, resident of Phoenix for 10 years, passed away last night in a local hospital.
He was born December 3, 1877, and had been a carpenter most of his life.
Surviving Mr. McDonald are his wife, Fannie McDonald, four sons, Alvin, Ray and Wayne of Phoenix, and Lloyd of Winterset. O., and daughter, Grace Naylor of Phoenix.
Funeral services have been set tentatively for 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the A. L. Moore and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
