Jeffrey J. Maxwell, Winterset

Jeffrey John Maxwell, 24, of Winterset died June 18, 1998, at his residence from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with Father Ed Pfeffer officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Jeffrey Maxwell was born Nov. 7, 1973, in Des Moins to Lonnie John and Beverly Kay (Wiedman) Maxwell. In October 1992 he married Anjanette Miner in Winterset. They had one daughter, Alannah Jade Maxwell. Jeffrey, a lifetime resident of Winterset, was a heavy equipment operator for Schildberg Construction Company. He was a member of Eric Heintz's Tae Kwon Do Academy in Winterset and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was receded in death by his grandparents, John and Mildred Wiedman and John and Gertrude Maxwell.

He is survived by his parents; wife, two brothers, Randy (wife Karla) of Patterson and Tony (wife Jane) of Winterset; three sisters, Michelle Sellers (husband John), Roxanne Davis and Tina Berch, all of Winterset; three Nephews and ten nieces.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family.

Jeffrey Maxwell, Winterset

Jeffrey John Maxwell, 24, of Winterset died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday at home. The death has been ruled a suicide. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winteset, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Maxwell was born in Des Moines and had lived in Winterset most of his life. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Shildberg Construction Co.

Survivors include his wife, Anjanette; his parents, Lonnie and Beverly Maxwell of Winterset; two brothers, Randy of Patterson and Tony of Winterset; and three sisters, Michelle Sellers, Roxanne Davis and Tina Berch, all of Winterset.

Collins Funeral Home in Winterset is handling arrangements.
