Ward Martin Died Friday

Ward L. Martin, a native of Braddyville, Iowa, died Friday, April 28, 1978 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was 88 years of age.

The son of John Howard and Ella Melvina Baldwin Martin, Mr. Martin was born March 12, 1890. He was retired from farming at the time of his death. He lived in this county about five years.

The marriage of Ward Martin to May Andrew took place in 1937 in Lancaster, Mo. She preceded her husband in death. Survivors include a niece, Ruby Harris of Winterset, a great niece, Margaret Lawson of Indianola, a step-daughter and several step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren. Aslo preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin were conducted Monday, May 1, at 2 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
