STELLA MARTIN, 68, DIED HERE JUNE 25

Funeral services for Mrs. Stella G. Martin of Winterset were held last Saturday, June 28, from the Wilson Funeral Home here.

Mrs. Martin died June 25 at Madison Manor Nursing home here, following an extended illness. She was 68 years of age.

A daughter of Edgar and Dolly Pettit Hulbert, she was born at Barney on Dec. 14, 1902. Her entire life was spent in Madison County. She was a member of the Barney Church of Christ.

On Aug. 31, 1920, she was married to Herbert Martin.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are: her mother, Mrs. Dolly Hulbert of St. Charles; one brother, Lester Hulbert of St. Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Velda Morse of Winterset, Mrs. Esther Read of Monticello, Iowa; and three children, Mrs. Clifford Cleland of Des Moines, Mrs. Warren Speer of Winterset and Mrs. Fay Benge of Winterset; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Thw Rev. Orval E. Walker officiated at the funeral. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
