Funeral services for Rex H. Macumber, who died May 18 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, were held Wednesday morning, May 20 at Collins Funeral Home. He was 70 years old.
A lifetime resident of Madison county, he was born May 7, 1911, the son of Gile E. Macumber and Theodora Holt.
Mr. Macumber was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the army.
He was an employee of the Madison County Road Dept. for 25 years, retiring in 1973.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include a brother, Ted of Winterset; and three sisters, Thelma Reilholtz of Forest Park, Ill., Eva Bond of Peru and Dorothy Travis of Winterset.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
