J. LEROY CLINE DIES IN DES MOINES

Long Time Resident Here Had Been Ill for Six Months

J. Leroy Cline, former Madison county resident, died Sunday, May 25, at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines after an illness of six months with a heart ailment. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Cline was born in Douglas township June 22, 1885, the son of David and Mary Welch Cline. He was married Feb. 27, 1906, to Jennie P. Rhodes. They were the parents of six children.

Most of his life was spent in Madison county. For the past 22 years his home had been in Des Moines. He was employed at the Des Moines airport for the last 15 years.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Helen McCahill of Goshen, Ind.; a son, Dale Cline of Atlantic. He also leaves five grandchildren; a brother, John E. Cline, and a sister, Mrs. Nora Miller, both of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from St. Anthony's church in Des Moines, in charge of the Rev. Father Lally. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
