Grace Marie Mack, Truro

Services for Grace Marie Mack, 87, were held Mon., Sept. 24 at the United Church of Christ- Congregational.

Grace Marie Roby was born to Walter E. and Florence Jones Roby on October 13, 1902. She married Ronald Mack September 23, 1920 in Chariton.

A lifetime resident of Truro, she operated an antique shop for over fifty years. Other activities included Quilters, Thursday Girls, Womens Relief Corp, membership in the United Church of Christ-Congregational at Truro and serving as church organist for many years.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, son and four brothers.

Surviving are her husband of Truro; two grandchildren, Vicki Jeanne Hagerman of Oklahoma and Teressa Lynn Sandlin of Lake Jackson, Tex.; four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Officiating at the service was Pastor James Patrick of Indianola with burial at Young cemetery in Truro.

Rites held for Grace Marie Mack in Truro Monday afternoon

Services were Monday at the United Church of Christ-Congregational at Truro for Grace Marie Mack of rural Truro, who died Sept. 21, 1990, at her home. She was 87.

Pastor James Patrick of Indianola officiated at the 2 p.m. service. Burial was in Young Cemetery at Truro with Kale Funeral Home of Osceola and Truro in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mack, the daughter of Walter E. and Florence Jones Roby, was born Oct. 13, 1902, at Truro. She received her education in the Truro schools.

She married Ronald Mack Sept. 23, 1920, at Chariton. The couple were the parents of a son.

A lifetime resident of Truro, she was the owner of an antique shop for over 50 years.

Mrs. Mack, a church organist for many years, was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational at Truro, Quilters, Thursday Girls and Women’s Relief Corp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gene, and four brothers, Frankie, Russell, Paul and Alvin.

Surviving relatives are her husband, Ronald Mack, of Truro; two grandchildren, Vickie Jeanne Hageman and her husband, Dale of Moore, Okla. and Teressa Lynn Sandlin and her husband, Wilbur, of Lake Jackson, Texas; four great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
