Death of B. N. Sturman

B. N. Sturman, a brother of Mrs. Lida Danforth of Winterset, died last Wednesday, June 9th, at Covington, Kentucky, at the age of 73 years. His body was brought here, and the funeral services were conducted at Tidrick’s Funeral Home Monday, June 14th, at 1:30 o’clock.

Mr. Sturman was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sturman and was born in this county. His father was at one time a farmer in the North River neighborhood and later a Winterset merchant.

The deceased was a painter , and in some way the materials poisoned his system, causing him to be in poor health for a number of years.

He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Lida Danforth, Mrs. Briggs of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Cecelia Brobst of Sedalia, Kansas, and his brother, Thomas Lincoln Sturman of Grove City, Kansas.

Benjamin N. Sturman

Benjamin Newton Sturman was born April 2nd, 1854 and passed away on June 9th, 1926, having reached the age of 72 years, 2 months and 7 days. His last sickness was at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital at Covington, Kentucky. Mr. Sturman had been afflicted for a number of years, having been poisoned with the materials with which he pursued his trade as a painter. He was unmarried.

Part of the time in the last few years has been spent with his different sisters. He leaves to mourn his departure, his sisters, Mrs. Lyda Danforth of Winterset, Mrs. Briggs of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Cecelia Brobst of Sedalia, Kansas, and his brother, Thomas Lincoln Sturman of Grove City, Kansas

Funeral services were held at Tidrick’s Funeral Home Monday, June 14th at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
