Wallace "Rasty" McKeever, Winterset

Services for Wallace "Rasty" McKeever, 67, Winterset, who died Monday April 8 at the Madison County Hospital will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11 at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Peru Cemetery.

Born in Madison County Sept. 28, 1917, he was the son of Oliver and Nellie Young McKeever. He was a farm laborer but retired in 1975. He married the former Doris Edith Travis on June 26, 1937.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Monty and Robert, both of Winterset; Jerry of Lorimor; and Larry of Peru; a brother, William, Winterset; sisters, Lucille Russell of Winterset and Louise Ackelson of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
