DEATH OF MARY NICHOLL

St. Charles (Special)--Miss Mary Nicholl passed away early Sunday evening at her home in St. Charles after an illness extending over four years, although her last illness was of only a few weeks duration. Yet in that time she suffered intense pain which only death could relieve.

Funeral plans are not yet complete at this time, and more details of her life will be given next week.

Held Funeral Services For Mrs. Mary Nicholl April 1

St. Charles (Special) - Funeral services were held in St. Charles last Wednesday afternoon for Miss Mary Nicholl. She had been a member of the United Presbyterian Church since early childhood, and a large number of people assembled to pay their last respects. The Rev. S. C. Picken of Des Moines, a friend of the family, conducted the services, using her favorite Bible passages and hymns.

Miss Nicholl had been an invalid for four years, but her last illness was of only a few weeks duration. Of her immediate family she leaves one sister, Mrs. C. L. Sheets of St. Charles and a brother, Robert Nicholl, of Martensdale, six nephews and nieces. Her parents, two sisters and a brother had preceded her in death.

Burial was made in the St. Charles Cemetery.

The out of town friends and relatives who attended the services were as follows: Mrs. Raymond Brandt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brownlie, Mrs. Loyd Jones, Mrs. Fred Holmes, Everett Pritchard and family and Mrs. Ardist Stump and baby of Winterset, the Rev. and Mrs. S. C. Pickens and Miss Ferne Buchanan of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Blair of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Blair of Ankeny, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Shutt of Adel, Robert Blair and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wells of Earlham, Mrs. Clifford Reams, Mrs. F. E. Maybury and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nicholl of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hague and Mrs. Don Hague of Booneville, Mr. and Mrs. Hester Reed and Lula Reed and A. B. Downs of Truro, Mrs. Edith sheets, and children Roy and Mae of Lorimor, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Shutt and daughter Twyla of Norwalk, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Blair of Cumming and Mrs. Willard Seldon of Monmouth, Ill.
