John McDonald, Albany, Oregon

John Henderson McDonald, a native of Winterset, died Nov. 9 in Albany, Oregon. He was 100 years old.

Born in Winterset on Oct. 19, 1881, he lived in and around Madison county until 1931, when he moved to Salem, Oregon.

He was a farmer until 1946, then began working for the Oregon Pulp and Paper Co. for 12 years.

After his wife Flora died in 1975, he moved to Albany.

Survivors include Thais F. Harms of Lapine, Ore.; Thelma Lebold of Albany; Edgar McDonald of Newbery, Ore.; Jerry McDonald of Aumsville, Ore.; Jay McDonald of Salem, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Belcrest Memorial Park, Albany.
