MABEL JOY CACHIARAS

Mabel Joy Price Cachiaras (formerly of Earlham) passed away on September 21, 1975 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her memorial service conducted at the University Church Christ there.

Mrs. Cachiaras, daughter of Walter John Price and Nancy Elizabeth Reed Price was born June 18, 1888 in Penn Township, Madison county, Iowa. On June 17, 1919 she was married to G. H. Cachiaras who had then been the minister of the Earlham Church of Christ since the fall of 1917. Following their marriage they moved from Earlham to Minneapolis to join the staff of Minnesota Bible College, of which Mr. Cachiaras is now Dean Emeritus.

Children of their home are Mrs. Rodney Schmidt (Elizabeth), Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Calvin Miller (Jean), Worthington, Minnesota; Mrs. Leonard Nord (Ruth), Olympia, Washington; John H. Cachiaras, Rochester, Minnesota. There are fifteen grandchildren.

Older residents of the Earlham area may remember Mabel, the last remaing member of the Price family of seven, having been preceded in death by her brothers; Raymond Robert, James Sterling, Walter Reed, William Ford Price, all of Earlham; and her sisters; Mary Shifflett of Dexter and Esther Stockwell of Minneapolis.
