Ivan W. Butler was born April 1, 1890 near Albion, Boone County, Nebraska, and passed away October 9, 1918 at four o’clock at the age of 28 years, 7 months and 9 days.

His parents Mr. I. S. and Mrs. E. H. Butler reared him to boyhood in that vicinity, and only the watchful care of a devoted mother enabled him to grow to man’s estate. Because of his affliction since childhood he has been a constant sufferer. But without a word of complaint he passed away after only a few hours illness.
