ROBERT H. MCCOY DIED LAST FRIDAY

Desth Occurs at Hospital in Des Moines at Age of 81 Years

Robert H. McCoy of near Winterset died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines last Friday, De. 10 at the age of 81 years.

Mr. McCoy was born at Franklin Grove, Ill., July 27, 1867. When he was nine years old, he was adopted by Reason B. Hardesty and was reared on a farm near Oregon, Ill.

He was married to Minnie E. Dusher, Aug. 9, 1893. They moved to Iowa 42 years ago. Many of those 42 years were spent in Madison county.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Winifred Hircock of Winterset; a son, Edward L. McCoy of Terre Haute, Ind.; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Monday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Woodrow Caldwell, pastor of the Bethesda Baptist church at Macksburg. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
