MINNIE E. MCCOY DIES AT 89 YEARS

Native of Illinois, Had Lived Most of Life in Madison County

Mrs. Minnie E. McCoy of Scott township, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Sunday, March 7, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 89 years of age.

Mrs. McCoy was a native of Illinois, where she was born in Ogle county on Feb. 20, 1876. She was the former Minnie Estella Dusher, daughter of John and Emily Hardisty Dusher. She was married in Illinois on Aug. 9, 1893 to R. H. McCoy. His death occurred in 1948.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett Hircock of Winterset; a son, Edward L. McCoy of Dexter; a brother, Judge William R. Dusher of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Leila Fast and Mrs. Helen Keast, both of Elmhurst, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church here. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
