George William Dale Bricker, fifth child and only son of Myrtle Rhode Bricker and Geo. E. Bricker, was born in Earlham on February 11, 1915 and departed this life January 22, 1964 at the age of 48 years 11 months and 11 days.
When twelve years of age, he moved with his parents to Des Moines where he has since made his residence. On February 18, 1940, he was married to Georgia Shannon who survives him. He was a drummer by profession and also engaged in Sound, Hi Fi and Electronics work. He patented the Nu-Vue Visor and was president of the company.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Georgia Bricker, his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Bricker, and sisters, Cecile Lewis of Oakland, California, Mary Byrne of Earlham, and Ruthie Breheny of Des Moines; also his brothers-in-law, Robert Lewis, Al Byrne and Eddie Breheny, as well as cousins, nephews and a host of sorrowing friends.
He was a member of Musicians Union Local 75, the Des Moines Art Center, and the First Methodist church in Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted in Des Moines and graveside services in Earlham by the Rev. Bruce D. Barrabee of First Methodist church.
