Carl Otis Bricker, son of Cephas and Angeline Bricker, was born March 21, 1891 in Madison County and lived his entire life in this community and was a member of the Earlham Methodist church. After a lingering illness Mr. Bricker passed away in his home the morning of January 26, 1960 at the age of 68 years 10 months and 5 days. Mr. Bricker was a retired merchant and served as mayor of Earlham for seveal (several) years.

In 1911 he was united in marriage to Beatrice Fry who preceded him in death. In 1925 he was united in marriage to Doris Robison and to this union was born one son, Howard. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Doris, his son Howard, his sister Mrs. Ethel Benson and a host of relatives and friends.

Services Thursday for Carl O. Bricker

Carl O. Bricker, lifetime resident of Earlham, died at his home Tuesday morning about 10:30 a.m. He had been ill for several months.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at the Earlham Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Fotsch will be in charge. He will be assisted by Ralph Erb.

W. F. Price will be soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Phillip Duff.

Casket bearers are M. H. Dalen, Fred Peterson, Roy Imboden, B. G. Harris, Fred Fry and Ralph Hunter.

Ushers are Fred Hodson, L. R. Goeldner, Chas. Soderberg and Mervyn Armstrong.

Burial will be in the Earlham cemetery.

Mr. Bricker engaged in the grocery business in Earlham for many years and was active in community affairs. He served as mayor for several terms. He is survived by his wife and son, Howard, a sister, Mrs. Ethel Benson, a niece, Mrs. Mary Byrne, who all live in Earlham and several nieces and nephews who live away. A complete obituary will be printed next week.
